Job Summary

You will own the hands‑on delivery of Machine Learning (ML) Platform and Infrastructure initiatives, keeping critical engineering platform work on track in a fast‑moving, technically complex environment. Your work will underpin the build, resilience, and operation of EIT's AI & Robotics core platform, directly enabling scientists and engineers tackling real‑world challenges.

Embedded within the ML Infrastructure team, you will absorb delivery complexity, maintain execution discipline, and surface risks early so the platform can scale safely and predictably. You will work closely with engineers, AI scientists, and external delivery partners, while partnering with the Programme Manager and Director to provide clear, evidence‑based views on progress, risks, and trade‑offs.

You thrive in technically complex, fast‑moving environments where clarity must be created rather than assumed, and where delivery success depends on disciplined execution across many interdependent teams.

Responsibilities
  • Own day‑to‑day delivery, including sprint ceremonies, backlog management, prioritisation, and delivery tracking across multiple interdependent concurrent initiatives.
  • Apply a pragmatic, delivery‑focused approach to delivery, using the minimum viable process required to maintain clarity, accountability, and momentum, with a strong bias toward action.
  • Work closely with engineers, consultants, AI scientists, security, and platform stakeholders to turn technical plans into actionable milestones, while maintaining clear, execution‑level visibility for the Programme Manager.
  • Identify delivery risks early (capacity constraints, unclear ownership, external dependencies, incomplete designs) and work with engineering and Programme leadership to agree mitigations or trade‑offs.
  • Establish and maintain delivery tooling and workflow automation (e.g. Jira configuration, reporting pipelines) to ensure execution health is visible, current, and reliable.
  • Maintain a single, trusted view of engineering delivery health, supported by clear and crisp written artefacts that make status, risks, and decisions easy to understand.
  • Provide concise, execution‑focused reporting that enables fast decision‑making and timely escalation when delivery is at risk.
  • Foster strong, collaborative ways of working, building trust across diverse technical and scientific stakeholders.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Technical / Platform Delivery: demonstrated experience owning delivery for complex technical or infrastructure‑focussed programmes, ideally involving cloud or ML platforms, in fast‑evolving or research‑led environments.
  • Technical Execution & Tooling: strong experience in technical delivery management, including hands‑on ownership of backlogs, workflows, and reporting; comfortable operating with ambiguity while maintaining pace and quality.
  • Culture & Community: experience in developing a culture of trust, openness, humility and creativity across a large community of multi‑disciplinary collaborators.
  • Stakeholder Management: ability to engage, influence, and align stakeholders at all levels, balancing competing demands and priorities.
  • Collaboration:

track record of building deep, trust‑based relationships with both scientists and operators from different domains. Ability to simplify complex ideas to unite and excite a group with different perspectives towards a shared vision and goal.
Benefits
  • Enhanced holiday pay
  • Pension
  • Life Assurance
  • Income Protection
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Hospital Cash Plan
  • Therapy Services
  • Perk Box
