About

The Role

The Sr. Manager, Global Sourcing – Corporate Vendor Management is a newly created leadership position focused on ensuring transparency, governance, and compliance throughout the vendor lifecycle. This role provides enterprise-wide oversight on key areas such as Vendor Risk, ESG, Contracts, IT Security & Compliance, Data Protection, Social Responsibility, and Business Continuity. The Sr. Manager collaborates across business units, corporate functions, and sourcing teams to develop and uphold robust vendor management standards that address changing business and regulatory needs.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, detail-oriented professional with extensive sourcing compliance and vendor governance experience, capable of independently solving complex challenges and mentoring others. This position is highly collaborative, requiring effective stakeholder engagement and the enforcement of essential policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead enterprise Corporate Vendor Management strategy, establishing standardized vendor governance, risk management, and operating models across the organization.
  • Own end-to-end vendor lifecycle oversight, ensuring consistent standards, risk mitigation, and remediation from onboarding through offboarding.
  • Direct governance, policy compliance, and MSP oversight, driving adherence, reporting, remediation, and value realization across vendor and contingent workforce programs.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation, leveraging process optimization, automation, and AI initiatives to enhance efficiency and control.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sourcing and/or Procurement Management.
  • 3-5 years experience with Vendor Risk Management and Compliance Frameworks.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and sourcing tools (e.g., Ariba, Coupa).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the United Kingdom, Canada or USA.

Salary Range

50,900 GBP to 72,900 GBP
