Profectus have partnered with a well-established IT solutions provider in Oxfordshire who is seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to join their team. This full-time, on-site role involves planning, engineering, and managing IT projects to optimise client systems, ensuring smooth implementation and top-notch client service. Ideal for an experienced IT professional with a background in Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking working face-to-face with customers proposing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Support project planning, documentation, and management alongside the Projects Manager

Collaborating with stakeholders, provide progress updates, and ensure project milestones

Serve as a technical escalation point for complex issues

Infrastructure Maintenance

IT Experience: 3+ years in IT, with demonstrable experience in project work

Microsoft 365 Proficiency: Expertise in Exchange Online, SharePoint, One Drive, Intune, and Entra , including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting

Windows Server Knowledge: Experience with on-premise systems, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP with failover, and Hyper-V for virtualization

Networking Skills: Strong understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, switching, routing, and VLAN configuration

Firewall and Security: Solid grasp of hardware firewall principles and single sign-on (SSO) and identity management basics, with experience in Password management software

Scripting and Automation: Confident with Power Shell for automation and configuration tasks

Paid training and development

Full UK driver’s license is essential and access to own vehicle for site visits (company mileage reimbursed)
