German Speaking Technical Applications Scientist – Technical Services Team

Location:

Oxford, UK (hybrid; 3 days onsite, 2 days remote; initial 5 days onsite training)

Role:
Provide high‑quality technical expertise and support for ONT products to scientists across Europe & UK. Collaborate within cross‑functional teams to strengthen client relationships and product application.

• Provide front‑line application support via email, phone, and live chat.
• Escalate issues to senior team members as required.
• Troubleshoot issues, analyze customer needs, and suggest solutions.
• Document all interactions and relevant information in the CRM with accuracy.
• Assist customers with experimental design, product installation, data analysis, and workflow validation.
• Collaborate with internal and customer‑facing teams.

• BSc degree or equivalent in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Life Sciences, or related field.
• Understanding of NGS, genetics, molecular & cell biology.
• Proficiency in German (C1 level);
  Italian also considered.
• Technical competency to discuss experimental principles and stay current in the field.
• Excellent communication & customer‑service skills; strong problem‑solving ability.
