Senior Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• AWS Infrastructure Design
  — Architect, maintain, and optimise cloud environments using services such as RDS, ECS, S3, Lambda, Cloud Watch, and VPC.
• Terraform Automation
  — Build, maintain, and improve Terraform modules; enforce IaC best practices; manage multi‑environment deployments.
• Container & Orchestration
  — Support and enhance Docker‑based workloads and ECS deployments.
• CI/CD Ownership
  — Contribute to Git Lab CI pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Security & Secrets Management
  — Manage and improve secret storage and access patterns using Hashi Corp Vault.
• Scripting & Automation
  — Develop automation scripts and tooling, ideally in Python.
• Cross‑Team Collaboration
  — Work closely with developers, and product teams to support delivery and improve operational excellence.

• AWS Expertise with production‑level experience across core services (RDS, ECS, S3, Lambda, IAM, networking).
• Terraform Proficiency including module creation, state management, and complex multi‑environment setups.
• Docker and container lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of Git Lab CI/CD
  , pipelines, runners, and deployment patterns.
• Experience with Hashi Corp Vault for secrets and policy management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

• Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
• Scripting skills, ideally Python
  , for automation and tooling.
• Exposure to cost optimisation in AWS.
• Familiarity with infrastructure security and compliance frameworks.
