An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cyber Security Engineer to join a growing technology company based in Oxfordshire, working on a hybrid basis.

This is a hands‑on role focused on strengthening cyber security across cloud platforms, applications and business systems. Working closely with the CIO and development teams, the Cyber Security Engineer will play a key role in improving cloud security, incident response, vulnerability management, security monitoring and secure development practices, helping to enhance the organisation's overall cyber resilience.

The company develops innovative software solutions for customers operating within highly regulated sectors and continues to experience significant international growth. This role offers excellent autonomy, exposure to senior leadership and genuine long‑term progression as the organisation continues to expand.

What’s required of the Cyber Security Engineer?
  • Proven hands‑on experience within Cyber Security Engineering or Security Operations
  • Experience with cloud security across AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR and security monitoring technologies
  • Strong knowledge of vulnerability management and remediation
  • Experience responding to and investigating security incidents
  • Good understanding of network security technologies including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF and VPNs
  • Knowledge of secure software development, application security and OWASP principles
  • Experience working with Identity & Access Management (IAM)
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO
    27001, NIST or NIS2
  • Experience with in regulated environments would be advantageous, with exposure to DORA, CMMC or similar frameworks beneficial
