IT Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Systems & Technology Analysis
Senior Business Analysts at Oxford University work collaboratively with business representatives, end-users, project and continuous improvement teams, and suppliers to deliver solutions that align with university strategic priorities. You will play a critical role in the definition, support and implementation of systems and solutions that support key activities of the University. You will join a thriving, friendly and supportive Business Analysis Practice at Oxford and contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis and IT-enabled business change at one of the world's leading universities.
We will invest in your personal development through training and professional development. The hybrid working requirements for this role are a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, and on occasion up to 4 days per week as required by business needs.
- A high level of general education to degree level or equivalent
- Experience of working in a complex environment where there is a wide range of parallel and mutually dependent activities.
- Proven business analysis experience, including strong influence in business process analysis and re-engineering.
- Experience of all stages of the delivery lifecycle including defining and documenting user requirements, carrying out system testing and assisting with user acceptance testing.
- In depth understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban and demonstrable experience of employing them
- Experience of the configuration and use of tools, such as Azure Dev Ops, for the management of backlogs etc.
- Experience of working in an IT Infrastructure environment, with a strong understanding of Collaboration Platforms such as MS365 and of Identity and Access Management
- Proven negotiation skills, for example in defining the scope of work and agreeing user requirements.
