Job Summary

Join the RAC as a Super Flex Roadside Mechanic. Flexibility deserves recognition – and we deliver. As a Superflex Patrol Roadside Mechanic, you’ll provide the adaptability our service relies on.

Competitive salary: £50,669 basic salary, with the opportunity to earn up to £57,000.

Weekly variety:
You’ll work on average 40 hours per week across the year, receiving your roster seven days in advance with your core working hours confirmed three days prior.

Shifts will fall between 06:00 and 02:00, and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

You’ll be part of the Oxford cluster, covering areas such as Oxford, Abingdon, Didcot, Wantage, Witney, Bicester and Thame. Work is organised locally so you can start and finish at home, focusing your day on getting members back on the road in your local area.

• A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with demonstrative technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
• A customer‑focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility to work at relatively short notice and willingness to travel with overnight stays, if necessary.

You’re more than a mechanic: a problem‑solver, a people person and a proud ambassador for the RAC. Whether on a busy roadside or a quiet cul‑de‑sac, you remain calm under pressure, quick to connect and confident in your craft.
