£22.71 per hour. Working shift pattern: 5 days over
7. Based at Oxford depot, Horspath Road.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Bus Service Engineer/Technician to keep our modern, low‑emission fleet safe, reliable, and ready to serve the community. You will maintain and service buses to Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and service buses to Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools
  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance, including roadside repairs
  • Report defects and complete all work safely in line with policies
  • Collaborate with workshop colleagues and support junior team members
Qualifications
  • Qualified engineer with City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in PSV or HGV Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Previous hands‑on experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles, ideally in a bus, coach, truck, or HGV environment (open to other backgrounds)
  • Confident using diagnostic tools and service manuals
  • Proactive, safety‑first approach
  • Team player with strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence
