Role: Cleaning Operative
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: Campsfield Immigration Removal Centre
Campsfield Immigration Removal Centre is the UK's first all-electric immigration removal centre, managed on behalf of the Home Office by Mitie Care & Custody. The Cleaning Operative will support the Centre’s cleaning operations, ensuring compliance with COSHH regulations and Mitie standards.
Job Objectives And Responsibilities- Provide a comprehensive cleaning service in designated areas to meet the standards identified in the cleaning schedule.
- Work in the centre around Residents.
- Clean all areas, including toilets, showers, and fixtures and fittings, maintaining cleanliness and a hygienic environment.
- Maintain cleaning equipment so that it remains serviceable and ready to use, avoiding time delays in achieving required standards.
- Use, handle, transport, and store equipment and materials securely and correctly to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Identify and report any areas requiring repair or maintenance and notify relevant staff of stock levels to maintain availability of cleaning materials.
- Work within a detention setting.
- Occasionally clean body fluids (blood, urine, and faeces).
- Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage.
