We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer/Deputy Manager to join the Department of Engineering Science.
AboutThe Role
The role provides both a practical technician function and that of Deputy Maintenance Team Manager, reporting to the Maintenance Team Manager. When deputising for the maintenance team manager you will:
- Take the lead role with no immediate supervision for all reactive and planned preventive maintenance and project work within the Department of Engineering Science in the Maintenance Manager’s absence.
- Supervise technical personnel and contractors to ensure a safe, efficient, productive work environment.
- Be responsible for maintenance work within the Keble Triangle buildings along with both planned and reactive maintenance work.
You should hold a relevant formal qualification, such as HNC, BTEC, NVQ level three, City and Guilds award (for example 2391-52) or equivalent in an appropriate mechanical or electrical discipline.

Salary (£):
Grade 6: £35,681 - £41,636 per annum (Inclusive of Oxford University Weighting) with a discretionary range up to £45,212 per annum.
