Ward Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and environmental safety within the Critical Care Unit, ensuring compliance with infection prevention, health and safety, and Trust policies.
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support a safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient environment.
• Monitor standards, conduct environmental checks and audits, and contribute to service improvements and quality initiatives.
• Act as a point of contact for housekeeping and environmental issues within the unit, ensuring appropriate use and availability of general stocks and supplies.
• Escalate risks or concerns in accordance with Trust procedures.

• Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably within a critical care or clinical environment.

• Strong organisational skills and meticulous cleaning standards, especially in high‑risk areas.
