Role
Cleaning Operative
Hours35 hours per week
LocationCampsfield Immigration Removal Centre
DescriptionProvide a comprehensive cleaning service in designated areas to meet the standards identified in the cleaning schedule.
Responsibilities- Clean all areas, including toilets, showers, fixtures, and fittings, to maintain cleanliness and a hygienic environment.
- Operate safely, ensuring compliance with COSHH regulations and Mitie standards.
- Maintain cleaning equipment so it remains serviceable and ready to use.
- Use, handle, transport, and store equipment and materials securely and correctly to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Identify and report any areas requiring repair or maintenance so corrective action can be taken.
- Notify relevant staff of stock levels to maintain availability of cleaning materials.
- Work in a detention setting.
- Occasionally clean body fluids (blood, urine, and feces).
- Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage.
