Repairs and Maintenance Team Leader

Location: Cowley

We are recruiting for an experienced Repairs & Maintenance Team Leader to join a busy property and maintenance environment, leading a team responsible for the delivery of high-quality responsive repairs.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will provide direction and technical support to operatives, resolve complex issues, ensure work is completed safely and efficiently, and make sure customers receive a high level of service

You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery and quality of responsive repairs across a range of building trades, including:

Roofing and tiling
Plastering and decorating
Brickwork and groundwork
Key responsibilities will include:

Leading and supporting a team of trade operatives, providing guidance, coaching and technical advice.
Monitoring the quality, safety and timely completion of responsive repairs.
Carrying out site visits and inspections to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance.
Managing workloads and resources effectively, particularly during seasonal and weather-related peaks.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring relevant IT systems are kept up to date.
Participating in an out-of-hours emergency standby rota.
The ideal applicant will have:

Proven experience in a similar repairs, maintenance or building services leadership role.
Strong knowledge of building repairs and maintenance.
Experience managing, coaching or mentoring trade teams.
A strong understanding of health & safety within building and construction, ideally with SMSTS.
A full UK driving licence.
