The Director, Commercial is responsible for leading the successful commercialization of Immunocore's authorized products across the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland). The role provides strategic commercial leadership across the region, ensuring delivery of business objectives, sustainable sales growth, successful product launches, and optimal patient access.

The Commercial Director will develop and execute the regional commercial strategy in alignment with Immunocore's European objectives while ensuring effective local execution. In the UK and Ireland, the role will provide leadership, coaching and oversight to the Oncology Account Managers, driving commercial excellence and execution. In the Nordic countries, where there is currently no dedicated local commercial resource, the Commercial Director will directly assume responsibility for commercial execution, customer engagement, key account management and market development activities.

The Commercial Director is accountable for regional commercial performance, sales forecasting, resource prioritization and commercial excellence across all countries of responsibility. Working cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance, the Commercial Director will ensure coordinated execution of commercial priorities and represent Immunocore with key external stakeholders to ensure timely and appropriate patient access to Immunocore's authorized products.

This position can be based in the UK, Oxford or Ireland, Dublin

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the regional commercial strategy across the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries in alignment with Immunocore's European commercial objectives.
  • Lead, coach and develop the Oncology Account Manager(s) in the UK and Ireland, fostering a high-performance culture focused on execution excellence and patient impact.
  • Directly manage the commercial activities across the Nordic countries, including strategic account management, customer engagement, commercial planning, demand generation and execution of local tactical plans.
  • Accountable for achieving regional sales objectives and commercial performance across all countries within the region.
  • Monitor regional business performance through key performance indicators, identifying opportunities and implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Lead regional forecasting, business planning and budget management, ensuring effective allocation of commercial resources.
  • Ensure consistent execution of commercial strategies while adapting tactics to local market dynamics and healthcare systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing and other cross-functional European teams to maximize commercial opportunities and support successful product launches.
  • Provide strategic oversight of account planning and customer engagement across the UK and Ireland while personally leading strategic account management and stakeholder engagement within the Nordic countries.
  • Support market access initiatives and reimbursement activities across the region, directly engaging with key stakeholders in the Nordic countries to facilitate patient access to Immunocore's authorized products.
  • Foster strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including national and regional opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, healthcare organisations and relevant decision makers.
  • Oversee promotional activities and commercial events to ensure alignment with Immunocore strategic priorities and compliance requirements. Ensure all activities are appropriately documented in Veeva Events and support contracting processes as required.
  • Facilitate effective communication between Immunocore internal functions and external partners, including distributors where applicable, to ensure seamless commercial operations.
  • Drive a culture of compliance by ensuring adherence to applicable laws, industry codes and Immunocore internal policies.
