Key Responsibilities
- Lead the department / directorate and the team to ensure that workstream and programmes are planned and carried out effectively.
- Lead the provision of an efficient, effective and high quality professional and well coordinated procurement and contract management service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation.
- Manage the team's business support function, including developing and managing the team's annual business plan, progress and dashboard reporting and risk and issue management.
- Manage all corporate business returns, including planning and workforce returns.
- Have oversight and management of all aspects of the department / directorate budgets.
- Develop and implement a content management system to ensure information is properly managed and best practice is shared across the team, directorate and the wider NHS organisations.
- Take a lead in the coordination of training and development and recruitment activity across the department / directorate.
- Participate in on-call arrangements as appropriate.

These are pivotal leadership roles, requiring a proven track record of delivering improvements for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and their families.
Applicants should have significant SEND experience, a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and statutory responsibilities, and experience of working across health, education and local authority partners.
You will provide strategic leadership, drive system-wide improvement, champion co-production, and ensure high-quality, equitable services that improve outcomes and reduce inequalities for children and young people with SEND.
