BMW Group invites passionate logistics professionals to become part of its Physical Logistics team at Plant Oxford. In this 13-month placement, you will work on the movement, storage and continuous improvement of parts across the automotive supply chain.
What awaits you- Gain an in‑depth understanding of logistics in an automotive environment.
- Lead and participate in multiple projects with other logistics functions, service providers and colleagues from other BMW Group plants.
- Communicate with suppliers and develop negotiation skills.
- Improve internal processes and monitor/report key performance indicators.
- Liaise between IT and logistics to enhance processes via new systems and analytical software.
- Optimise warehouse operations and logistical processes using data.
- Analyse raw data with various software packages.
- Collaborate with a diverse team to solve operational challenges and ensure continuous production.
- Studying towards a Supply Chain, Business or Engineering degree (projected 2:2 or above).
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong interest in the automotive industry and logistics.
- Programming experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical, innovative problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritise and organise tasks independently.
- Capability to thrive within a dynamic, high‑performing team.
- Competitive annual salary of £25,250, 26 days holiday per annum (pro‑rata to your contract) and an attractive pension scheme.

EligibilityTo qualify, you must be returning to studies for a minimum of six months after completing the placement and demonstrate your legal right to work in the UK.
