This full‑time, permanent role requires troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and maintenance to ensure high production efficiencies. What will you be doing? As a Controls/Automation Support Engineer, you will operate in an active and responsive role to ensure production lines continue to run safely and efficiently. Working closely with the Production Manager, you will identify issues and improve line performance across our state‑of‑the‑art automated canning, kegging, bottling, and fruit processing/fermentation systems.
- Work with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs.
- Fault find and troubleshoot software and electrical issues.
- Undertake proactive maintenance, continuous improvement initiatives, and break‑down response.
- Investigate and resolve breakdowns and malfunctioning equipment using programming tools and electrical test equipment.
- Apply line familiarity to support troubleshooting.
- Contribute to continuous‑improvement or energy‑efficiency initiatives.
- Provide reactive support, including occasional out‑of‑hours work, while sharing responsibilities with the engineering team.

- Industrial experience with automated equipment such as PLC drives, motors, sensors, control systems, robots, and general machinery.
- Competence in accessing, fault‑finding, configuring, and setting up PLC control systems.
- Experience with PLC inverter drives, motor control, safety systems, and pneumatics.
- Ability to understand and modify electrical schematics and pneumatic drawings.
- Proactive ‘can‑do’ attitude, problem‑solving skills, and willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail; works well under pressure in a busy environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to change.
- Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
