Are you a hands‑on Electronics Lab Technician with a passion for testing, fault finding, and prototype development?

We're looking for an experienced Electronics Lab Technician to join an innovative engineering team developing cutting‑edge technology. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced electronic systems, support new product development, and play a key role in maintaining a high‑performing engineering laboratory.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Performing electronics testing, debugging, fault finding, repair, and maintenance activities.
  • Managing laboratory equipment, inventory, consumables, and day‑to‑day lab operations.
  • Operating a range of test and measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, microscopes, and specialised diagnostic tools.
  • Supporting prototype builds, PCB assembly, modification, and rework activities.
  • Manufacturing custom cable assemblies and carrying out precision soldering work.
  • Executing test procedures and accurately recording results and findings.
  • Supporting engineers with prototype development and selecting practical assembly solutions.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring a safe, organised working environment.
  • Learning and adopting new technologies, manufacturing techniques, and equipment as required.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years' experience as an Electronics Lab Technician or in a similar electronics‑focused role.
  • Strong experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, repair, and assembly.
  • Excellent soldering skills, including surface mount technology (SMT) assembly and rework.
  • Experience working with fine‑pitch SMT components and BGA packages.
  • Comfortable using soldering stations, crimping tools, wire strippers, heat guns, and other assembly equipment.
  • Experience using workshop tools and fabrication equipment to support prototype development.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow test procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
