Our client, a leading company in the aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sector, is currently seeking a Stores Supervisor to join their team. This permanent role involves supervising the Stores department, ensuring the efficient processing and management of parts in accordance with MAA regulations and company procedures, contributing to the seamless operation of aircraft maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising shift operators to support effective output
Ensuring resource availability for required workloads
Receipting and processing incoming parts accurately onto AMOS
Issuing parts at the Stores counter
Enforcing health and safety practices in all aspects of the role
Ensuring the safety and security of all assets in the Stores facility
Accurately inputting data onto the Stores computer system
Maintaining the safety and integrity of aircraft parts, including labels and packaging
Processing US returns
Placing orders with contractors for aircraft parts
Managing stock
Accounting for serviceable spares after maintenance
Undertaking other duties as assigned by the Line Manager
Health and Safety:
Understanding personal operational safety and security responsibilities
Awareness of personal health and safety and the health and safety of others at work
Knowing aviation safety responsibilities as per the AAGDS Safety Policy
Understanding aviation security responsibilities as per the AAGDS Security Policy
Essential Skills and
Qualifications:
Proficiency in IT packages including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Experience in an aviation stores environment (preferred)
Knowledge of health and safety requirements, lifting, and manual handling aids
High attention to detail and ability to produce consistent work
Strong inter-personal skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Team leadership skills, including mentoring, development, and direct line management of a small team
Desirable
Skills:
Knowledge of COSHH and chemicals
Possession of a Dangerous Goods by Air Certificate (valid within the last 30 days)
