Our client, a reputable manufacturing company is hiring a dedicated Production Operative to join their team in South Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the build, test, and inspection of high-quality products in a supportive and safety-conscious environment.
What you'll be doing:- Assist in the assembly and finishing of moulded parts, ensuring high workmanship standards.
- Support the preparation of mouldings to meet production schedules.
- Help in the preparation and bonding of boats, including cutting, grinding, and flow coating bonded boats.
- Contribute to the manufacturing process across various stages as directed by your line supervisor.
- Support the production of sub-assemblies when required.
- Assist in training new team members and other personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation.
- Follow health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by senior management.
- A good standard of general education.
- Practical experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment, with the ability to use conventional power and hand tools.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly.
- Organised, reliable, and a team player with a strong work ethic.
- Experience in moulded product assembly is desirable.
- No formal licences or certifications are essential, but a safety-conscious approach is required.
- The role is suited to those with a couple of years of hands‑on experience in similar settings.
