Engineering Build Supervisor

A high tech manufacturing business in Oxford have a newly created position for a motivated and experienced Engineering Build Supervisor, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Assembly & Test Technician team, ensuring that assembly and test work is delivered safely, on time, and to quality. The role combines people leadership, operational planning and process development with a strong emphasis on building lasting technical capability within the team and embedding robust documentation and continuous improvement across the function.

Engineering Build Supervisor Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and assign assembly/test work so it is delivered safely, on time and to standard
• Remove blockers and re-plan daily as priorities and the task pipeline change
• Own and improve scheduling/resourcing so technicians always have a clear work pipeline
• Own work instructions/SOPs so processes are clear, followed consistently, and continuouslyn improved
• Support technicians with build/test issues, escalation, and development
• Maintain 5S across assembly/test areas (housekeeping, layout and organisation)
