Manufacturing Stores Operative
Chalgrove | £33,102–£34,328 (inc. shift allowance) | Permanent | 4 on 4 off
A globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Chalgrove is looking for a Manufacturing Stores Operative to join its team on a permanent basis.
This is a busy, hands-on role that keeps the operation moving — covering packing, stores and internal logistics in a fast-paced production environment where getting things right first time, every time, genuinely matters.
The Role
• Primary and final packing of parts, components and products to customer and technical requirements
• Validating batch numbers, part descriptions and quantities against SAP and flagging any discrepancies
• Ensuring goods leave correctly packed, labelled and addressed in line with requirements
• Liaising with logistics and shipping teams to keep dispatch running to schedule
• Picking, packing and issuing materials and stock from Detail Stores and Raw Material Stores
• Receiving materials, goods and stock from the main factory and external sources
• Moving goods around the site using forklift trucks, electric pallet stackers and scissor lift equipment
• Supporting Raw Material Stores duties including saw operation and basic measurement inspection
• Carrying out self-inspection and quality checks in line with procedures
• Contributing to 5S and continuous improvement activities
• Following all H&S regulations throughout
What We’re Looking For
• Experience in stores, packing or warehousing within a manufacturing environment — desirable but not essential
• Methodical and structured, with a strong eye for detail
• Physically capable and able to work at pace in a busy environment
• Clear communicator who can follow instructions accurately
• Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
• Full UK driving licence desirable — forklift truck training will be provided for the right candidate
What’s on Offer
• £27,000–£28,000 base salary + 22.6% shift allowance (total package £33,102–£34,328)
• 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days)
• Strong benefits package
• Genuine progression opportunities
• Long-term stability backed by over a decade of secured contracts
A permanent role with a well-respected name in aerospace — if you’re reliable, detail-focused and looking for stable, long-term work in a well-run team, this is worth applying for.
