Location:
Kidlington, Oxfordshire Salary: £19 - £22 per hour Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent
A precision engineering manufacturer is looking for an experienced CNC Turner (Programmer/Setter/Operator) to join their team. You will be responsible for producing complex, high‑accuracy components for a wide range of industries including motor sport, automotive, scientific, medical, aerospace and renewable energy. This is a hands‑on role working with modern multi‑axis CNC lathes, delivering high‑quality machined parts to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities- Program, set and operate multi‑axis CNC lathes (Goodway and DMG machines).
- Manufacture complex components from customer drawings and 3D models.
- Carry out manual inspection and ensure all work meets required standards.
- Follow workplace processes and maintain accurate documentation.
- Operate more than one machine when required.
- Strong experience with Fanuc controls.
- Confident programming, setting and operating CNC multi‑axis lathes.
- Background in producing high‑precision components to fine tolerances.
- Experience working with materials such as Aerospace Alloys, Stainless Steel, Inconel, Titanium and Magnesium.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain high‑quality surface finishes.
- A team player with good communication skills.
- Professional, reliable and able to work efficiently.
- Enthusiastic, self‑motivated and proactive.
- Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
- 20 days holiday, rising to 25 days after one year (plus bank holidays)
