Registered Nurse Associate

Job Overview

You will work independently, carrying out patient care in collaboration with the registered nursing staff ensuring the smooth running of the unit. You will be expected to support, supervise and develop further the role of the Health Care Assistant within the clinical area. There is an active in‑service training program and continued professional development is viewed as integral to providing quality patient care.

The post holder will be required to work flexible shift work.

• Participate in the active in‑service training program; engage in continued professional development.

• Associate Nurse/Assistant Practitioner Foundation Degree.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and passionate about providing high quality, safe, patient‑centred care.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work with people as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The Trauma Unit consists of two single-beded trauma wards (A and

A). We care for adults over the age of who have a variety of injuries including major trauma injuries, spinal injuries and fragility fractures.
