Staff Nurse - Pre Assessment (Bank) Oxford Hospital. Pre Assessment. Bank contract. Ad hoc. Up to £30 per hour depending on experience. Nuffield Health is the UK’s largest healthcare charity. This role supports high standards of patient care and requires registration with the appropriate governing body (including NMC) and post‑registration experience.

• Be part of a close‑knit team delivering matron‑led care in a consultant‑led service.
• As the first point of contact, work with professionals to make the right assessments for patients prior to their surgery.
• Demonstrate a broad knowledge base and assessment skills to ensure patient care.
• Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family.
• Offer comfort and reassurance, providing the highest standards of care.
• Build experience across new practices, equipment and facilities.
• Work with practitioners in other areas, understanding that continuity in patient care is key.

• Registered with the appropriate governing body (e.g., NMC).
• Relevant post‑registration experience; team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

Our modern hospital is based in Oxford, with six operating theatres and 64 ensuite rooms. We provide inpatient and day care across a broad range of surgical specialties and clinics. The hospital is well connected by road and rail to London, Thames Valley and the Midlands.
