The Senior Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and environmental safety within the Critical Care Unit and ensuring compliance with infection prevention, health and safety, and Trust policies.
Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, the role supports a safe, efficient, and high-quality patient environment. The Senior Housekeeper will monitor standards, contribute to audits and service improvements, and act as a point of contact for stocks and environmental issues within the unit.
Main duties of the job- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and environmental safety within the Oxford Critical Care Unit in line with Trust and infection control policies.
- Act as a senior point of contact for housekeeping and environmental issues, liaising with relevant teams as required.
- Monitor housekeeping standards and carry out environmental checks and audits.
- Support service improvements and quality initiatives within the unit.
- Ensure appropriate use and availability of general stocks and supplies.
- Escalate risks or concerns in accordance with Trust procedures.
