Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking to develop your career within a highly specialised and rewarding clinical area? We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and ambitious Band 5 Nurse to join our dynamic Haematology team.

Our 20-bed specialist haematology unit provides acute, high‑acuity care for patients with complex haematological conditions, offering nurses the opportunity to work at the forefront of a rapidly evolving specialty. We welcome applications from nurses with previous haematology experience, as well as experienced acute care nurses who are passionate about expanding their clinical expertise and building a specialist career in haematology.

Haematology Ward is located in the Cancer and Haematology Centreat the Churchill Hospital in Headington.

Please note that applicants must hold full NMC registration, have demonstrable post graduate experience in an acute ward setting.

• Demonstrate and promote a patient and family centred style of clinical practice.
• Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Accurately document and report to other members of the nursing team, multi‑disciplinary team and family/carers regarding the care given to patients, and communicating changes as they occur.
• Respond to emergency situations with composure, maintaining patient safety and seeking immediate support, and supporting the patient, family/carers and other staff as required.
