Streetworks Inspector

An opportunity has arisen for a Streetworks Inspector to join a client in Oxfordshire. The role involves inspecting the work carried out by utility and highways contractors, reporting any issues on the highway, and ensuring all works are compliant with legislation. Additional duties include Section 81 inspections, handling customer complaints, core sampling, and defect inspections.

This is a full‑time contract position. The rate on offer is £32–£34 per hour plus expenses, negotiable based on experience. Flexible working opportunities are available.

• Inspect the work carried out by utility and highways contractors.
• Report any issues on the highway and ensure all works are compliant with legislation.
• Carry out Section 81 inspections, handle customer complaints, perform core sampling and defect inspections.
• Carry out NRSWA and street works inspections across the area.
• Report and record any issues back to the office and issue FPNs.
• Monitor the works and ensure they are carried out to a high standard.

• Previous experience in highways and street works is essential.
