Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector Greater Manchester Full Time We are looking for a dedicated, time-served Quality Inspector / Engineer to join our precision manufacturing environment. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that high-specification metallic components meet rigorous aerospace and defence standards through meticulous inspection and accurate First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) management.

The Role:

Inspect manufactured items, interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications to verify full conformity. Collate, review, and submit comprehensive Full FAIRs and Delta FAIRs using specialized software. Utilize a variety of advanced inspection methods and tools, including hand tools, Keyence systems, and CMM equipment. Handle non-conformances and engage with Material Review Board (MRB) processes. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and the 5S workplace organisation standards.

Communicate professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders via email and verbal channels in a fast-paced environment. Experince Required Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in a dedicated FAIR compilation role within a metallic manufacturing environment (sheet metal, machining, or turned components). Time-served inspector with a proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specs - Ideally Strong familiarity with aerospace or defence quality standards, QMS/IMS structures, and manufacturing workflows from raw material to finished product.

Excellent IT proficiency, including Microsoft applications and specialized FAIR software. Exceptional communication skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to manage time effectively under pressure while maintaining a commitment to workplace safety and 5S standards.
