Associate Director - Pre Commercial & Technical Quality

ROLE OVERVIEW We are currently looking for an Associate Director, Pre-Commercial & Technical Quality to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in the UK. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to play a pivotal role in shaping quality strategies across new product development and analytical functions, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering continuous improvement from early development through commercialisation.

As a key member of the Quality Leadership Team at our client, you will provide expert technical guidance, drive quality initiatives, and support the development of innovative products within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for a senior quality professional looking to influence quality systems and lead cross-functional teams in a global, science-driven organisation.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Your duties as the Associate Director, Pre-Commercial & Technical Quality will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Provide strategic leadership for Quality across New Product Development (NPD) and Analytical Development (AD) functions, ensuring robust quality oversight throughout product lifecycle stages.

Support the development and maintenance of comprehensive quality systems, including GMP documentation review and batch release activities.

Act as a specialist in Zydis processes to inform quality decisions across pre-commercial, commercial, and capital projects.

Lead, develop, and coach the Technical Quality team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

As the Associate Director, you will influence quality initiatives, participate in audits, and promote quality by design throughout product and process development.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Associate Director, Pre-Commercial & Technical Quality, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

A Degree or higher level in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology or a related field.

Proven pharmaceutical quality operations experience, including knowledge of GMP systems and manufacturing processes.

Eligibility for QP status is preferred, along with experience supporting analytical development, pre-commercial, and commercial activities.
