Part‑time Research Assistant – RePRAM Project
We are seeking a Part‑time Research Assistant to support the Response to Pramipexole (RePRAM) project. This is an NIHR‑funded research project which aims to increase the understanding of predictors of response to pramipexole in the treatment of depression.

The position includes recruiting and testing study participants and therefore requires onsite working within standard working hours. It is funded until 30 April 2027 and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital. The post is part‑time (50% FTE). The RePRAM study will start in March 2026, recruiting 60 patients with treatment‑resistant depression. Participants will have three research visits involving computer tests focused on reward processing and voice recordings for speech pattern analysis.
Responsibilities- Recruit study participants and liaise with professionals working in GP practices and secondary care centres.
- Assess and recruit people with depression for the study.
- Collect reward‑processing data using computer‑based experimental tasks.
- Collect voice recordings for speech pattern analysis.
- Work closely with the local Principal Investigator, Dr Beata Godlewska, and other members of the RePRAM team.
- First degree in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or another relevant scientific discipline.
- Relevant research experience, including specialist scientific or technical equipment (e.g., EEG or computer‑based experimental tasks).
- Experience with reward processing tasks and working with people with depression/mental health problems is desirable.
- Strong knowledge in a relevant discipline to work effectively within established research programmes.
