We are seeking a Research Assistant to join the ARtificial Intelligence-based Assessment to Detect iNdividuals with Emerging psychosis risk (ARIADNE) study.

The post is available on a flexible hybrid basis. The minimum on‑site time is 3 days/week for a full‑time post.

About the Role

The post is funded for 2 years (from 1 November 2026) and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital. The post is full‑time although consideration will be given to candidates wishing to work part‑time (minimum 60% FTE).

This study aims to validate the accuracy, reliability and acceptability of ARIADNE, comparing its ability to assess CHR‑P criteria against trained clinicians.

You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the study. This will include coordinating participant recruitment and scheduling, assisting with study procedures, and supporting the administration of structured CHR‑P assessments. You may observe both clinician‑led and AI‑assisted interviews, ensure adherence to study protocols, and help collect and manage clinical and questionnaire data.

About You

You will hold a first degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Psychology), together with some relevant experience. Demonstrable recruitment experience as part of a research project and a proven ability to work independently and proactively, exercising initiative and problem‑solving skills are essential. You will also possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes. Familiarity with clinical high risk for psychosis, psychosis, or early intervention services and experience of contributing to research studies and publications would be desirable.
