Postdoctoral Statistical Scientist in Parkinson’s Disease

ResponsibilitiesThe postholder will work with the clinical research team to help quantify symptoms using objective measures of behaviour and sleep patterns in daily life environments alongside clinical and omics data, translating key findings into clinical practice and patient care. The postholder will focus on combining large datasets using active and passive digital testing, including an 8‑minute smartphone test used to predict outcomes of relevance to people with Parkinson’s Disease (PD), and assist in the analysis of the smartphone data recordings.
The successful applicant will work closely with a senior postdoctoral scientist on deep‑learning and machine‑learning algorithm (MLA) approaches to diagnose, stratify and measure progression in Parkinson’s and prodromal Parkinson’s patients from the OPDC Discovery cohort. The postholder will have full access to the wealth of omics data collected longitudinally in the cohort.
This post is full time and fixed‑term for 12 months in the first instance.
