The Research Services Department plays a vital role in supporting the University’s world-leading research community. Working across all divisions, the department provides expert advice and comprehensive administrative support throughout the entire research lifecycle — from identifying funding opportunities and developing grant proposals to managing awards, contracts, and compliance. With a focus on fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence, Research Services ensures that Oxford’s researchers have the resources and guidance they need to deliver impactful research that advances knowledge and benefits society.

Research Services is one of the key Professional Services Departments supporting Oxford’s research, engagement, and innovation community. We strive to provide excellent professional support, be a trusted provider of strategic insight and internal and external influence working with University, divisional, and other research leaders across the University.
The Trusted Research team is a collaborative team within the Research Funding and Contracts team in Research Services. We manage casework and compliance, and establish policy and practice for the University in research security and wider international collaboration risk. The team recently won the HERSA Trusted Research Team of the Year award for 2026, alongside colleagues in the Nuffield Department of Medicine, for our collaborative approach both within the team and with academic departments.
As an integral member of the team, you will play a leading role in enabling the University’s vital international research collaborations in an increasingly dynamic environment.
