We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join Professor Tao Dong’s Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy group at the CAMS Oxford Institute. The research will focus on identifying and characterising cancer-specific T cells with the potential to cross-react with viral antigens, with the aim of improving understanding of cancer progression and informing new cancer immunotherapy strategies.
You will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments, analysing existing multiomic data from patient cohorts, generating new datasets and developing T cell lines, clones and TCR-T cells for further characterisation. The role also involves analysing scientific data, developing experimental protocols, troubleshooting technical problems, supervising students and visiting researchers, and contributing to publications, presentations and collaborative research projects.

Candidates should have experience of single-cell or bulk RNA sequencing and data analysis, high-dimensional flow cytometry, managing independent research and contributing to publications or presentations. Excellent communication, collaboration and research planning skills are also required.
Experience working with multiomics platforms and datasets or imaging analysis would be advantageous.
