Position: Bartender OAKS DISTILLERY

Position Summary

Enthusiastic individuals with a passion for mixology and hospitality work as Bartenders in Training at our upscale craft cocktail bar and restaurant. This position will have a passion for mixology, a commitment to providing exceptional service, and the ability to thrive in a high-energy environment. This position requires all of the qualifications of server.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of craft cocktails, wine, and beer to guests, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Provide attentive and personalized service to guests, including taking orders, offering recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and conducting regular inventory counts.
    • Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a pour test.
  • Must know the top 10 house specialty cocktails by memory.
  • Must know the wine by-the-glass and wine by-the-bottle list including name, style, region and vintage.
  • Must know all of the spirits produced by Oxford Oaks Distillery, their flavor profiles and which drinks they are best included in.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the back-bar products and can specifically walk a guest through bourbon, scotch, gin, tequila and vodka options.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a bartender in a high-volume, upscale establishment.
  • Extensive knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • TIPS or Bar Smarts Certification.
  • RASP NC training.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • This position is paid hourly at $7.50
