Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Head Chef role located in the Greater Oxford Area. The Head Chef will oversee kitchen operations and a brigade of 5 chefs , including menu planning, sourcing high-quality local ingredients, and ensuring the preparation of top-quality dishes that meet the standards of a 2 AA Rosette establishment. The role requires managing and mentoring the kitchen team, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, controlling stock and costs, and striving to deliver a consistently exceptional dining experience for all guests.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in culinary skills, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food quality standards, allergen management, and hygiene best practices
  • Inventory management and cost control expertise
  • A passion for local and seasonal ingredients, along with commitment to maintaining high culinary standards
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment while ensuring quality and consistency
  • Formal culinary training or equivalent professional experience
