Position: Temporary Store Assistant - Fulfilment Street

IKEA Oxford Street is looking to welcome Store Assistants to our team on a temporary basis for 10 weeks, with the potential to be made permanent. We're looking for a dynamic Store Assistant at IKEA Oxford Street to deliver outstanding customer experiences. While your main focus will be in the fulfilment function, you'll embrace a multi‑skilled role, ensuring product availability and an inviting shopping environment for all our customers.

  • Competitive hourly rate of £14.80 per hour.
  • Working 30 hours per week across 5 days, including day shift, evening shifts, early morning shifts (prior to 6AM) and 3 in 4 weekends per month.

What you’ll be doing day to day
  • You provide an inspirational shopping experience for our customers working across various departments throughout the day, supporting customers to find the right solutions for their life at home.
  • You are interested in the range, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design, keen to share this with our customers.
  • You support maximising sales by ensuring your areas of responsibility are clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop. Some products may involve heavy lifting.
  • You will follow safety procedures to ensure efficient replenishment and maintaining high standards across the shopfloor, working with warehousing tools and apparatus.
  • You will be working and staying agile in a fast‑paced setting, rapidly assessing situations and implementing solutions to keep operations running smoothly.
