Pay – The Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 per hour; this increases to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.

It’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. If you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.

The weekly availability window outlines the periods within which we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and provide 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. We are happy to support flexibility if your available times closely match but do not exactly align with the advertised times.

You will be responsible for

As a Shift Leader, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same. You will take ownership of activities by coordinating a team to deliver. You will continually seek ways to improve service in your store through on-the-job coaching and feedback. You will monitor team performance and deliver practical actions for improvement through a hands-on approach.

Under your guidance, your area will remain a safe place to work and shop.

You will need
  • Role model delivering great, natural customer service and ensuring customers’ needs are met
  • Build strong, long-lasting relationships with colleagues to foster a team spirit
  • Clear communication using a variety of methods to keep the team informed
  • Be confident in taking the lead when required
  • Be flexible in thinking, make decisions efficiently, and adapt to change to serve customers and colleagues
