Business Development Manager – Oxford

We’re looking for a proactive and ambitious Business Development Manager to join our team in Swindon. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional to take the lead on growing new and existing business within a global technology organisation. If you thrive on developing relationships, uncovering opportunities, and driving commercial success, this role is the perfect next step.

What You’ll Do
  • Identify, target, and convert new business opportunities across the B2B market
  • Build and grow relationships with key stakeholders across your customer base
  • Proactively introduce new manufacturers, technologies, and service offerings to clients
  • Engage in regular customer visits to understand needs, present solutions, and strengthen partnerships
  • Work closely with internal teams — Commercial, Customer Service, Finance, Operations — to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Use market intelligence and historical data to build strategic account plans
  • Manage the full sales cycle including proposals, negotiations, and closing deals
  • Support in driving vendor engagement and representing the business at events when required
What You Bring
  • At least 12 months proven experience in Business Development, Field Sales, or B2B Account Management.
  • Experience in the IT channel desired.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Confidence presenting to customers and engaging with senior decision-makers
  • Resilience, drive, and the ability to deliver results in competitive markets
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities at once
  • A proactive, self‑motivated approach and a desire to grow within a dynamic sales environment
  • Must have a driving license
