Sales Associate

Overview

GENEWIZ (under Azenta Life Sciences) is a global leader in multiomics and synthetic solution services with headquarters in South Plainfield, NJ and worldwide operations. We empower researchers by providing precision-based solutions from discovery through clinical development.

Identify and develop growth opportunities within smaller accounts by promoting the full range of GENEWIZ services.

• Create sales strategy with the support of manager for the designated territory.
• Conduct marketing and sales independently in academic and small biotech accounts.
• Conduct vendor shows, lunch and learns in academic and small biotech accounts upon request.
• Generate qualified leads through proactive outbound prospecting.
• Follow up with new customers and reply to incoming price inquiries.
• Support field reps from the office, retrieving data from internal systems such as CRM/Salesforce and project databases (CLIMS).
• Prepare reports as needed for territory and account management.
• Lead generation and data entry into CRM.
• Qualify marketing leads from trade shows, events and campaigns.

• Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences with background in Molecular Biology.
• Previous sales experience required.
• CRM experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
• Ability to speak in public and interact with customers with confidence and ease.
• Although this role is not field based, the candidate should be willing and able to travel 3‑5 days per month.
• Driver's License essential preferred.
