Emergency Response Team Leader (Fire & Security)
Job OverviewWorking for Mitie and based at the MINI Plant Oxford, this multi‑skilled role combines security, environmental and fire response, plus advanced first aid in a professional, highly trained team environment. It offers specialist emergency response training, recognised qualifications and a career path across the security, fire and rescue sectors.
Location: MINI Plant Oxford
Pay Rate: £38,400.00 per annum with overtime opportunities.
Hours: 12‑hour shifts (days, nights and weekends, average 42 hours per week).
- First Response Emergency Care (FREC
3) – 5 days - Medical Gases (Oxygen and Entonox) – 2 days
- Basic Fire Training – 2 days
- Breathing Apparatus Training – 5 days

- Provide a visible and proactive security presence.
- Lead the team to respond quickly and effectively to fires, first aid incidents and environmental emergencies.
- Lead training, maintain equipment and organise daily tasks for the Emergency Response Team.
- Maintain and inspect emergency equipment to operational standards.
- Conduct internal and external patrols, searches and incident reporting.
- Support compliance with health, safety and security policies.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Valid SIA front‑line licence (fully funded).
- Clean‑shaven or tightly trimmed goatee‑style beard for breathing apparatus compatibility.
- Ability to pass a medical and fitness test (including suitability for breathing apparatus).
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights and weekends.
- Ability to pass security vetting and random drug/alcohol testing.
- Basic/intermediate IT skills.
- FREC 3 medical qualification (if already held).
