Supervising Social Worker

Location: Regionally based across Oxford and surrounding area including Bucks

Contract Type:Recap Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £36,000 – £46,000 dependent on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We also offer a 4‑day working week – this means 80rupa of the hours for 100% pay! This will be given following a successful 6‑month probationary period and is a performance‑based benefit.

The role: As part of our social‑work team, you will support vulnerable children and young people by placing them in foster homes, supervising foster carers, and ensuring high standards of care. You will conduct home visits, keep close contact with both carers and young people, deliver safeguarding, collaborate with specialist clinical teams, and maintain low caseloads for bespoke, person‑centric support.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify suitable foster homes for vulnerable children and young people.
  • Supervise and advise foster carers, ensuring safe, nurturing environments.
  • Conduct home visits and maintain consistent contact with both carers and young people.
  • Collaborate with specialist clinical teams to deliver therapeutic support.
  • Maintain accurate case records and manage risk assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Passionate about building incredible lives for children and supporting therefore carers.
  • BA or MA degree in social work, or equivalent, with registration with the appropriate statutory body.
  • Experience working with young people with a history of trauma-gray and enhancedjudice.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Willingness to work within the support and training structure offered by the organisation.
