Qualified Social Worker Children Services

Responsibilities

• Undertake high-quality child and family assessments to identify needs, risks, and appropriate interventions.
• Manage a complex caseload, ensuring timely assessments and effective care planning.
• Complete statutory assessments, reports, and case recordings in line with legislative requirements and local procedures.
• Work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
• Carry out child protection enquiries and contribute to strategy discussions and multi‑agency meetings where required.
• Use professional judgement to assess risk, make informed decisions, and develop outcome‑focused plans.
• Provide support and guidance to less experienced colleagues where appropriate, demonstrating senior‑level practice.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with statutory guidance, safeguarding legislation, and best practice.

• Degree/master's in social work and SWE registration.
• 3+ years of post‑qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK social care legislation and practice.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
