At Response, we know that safe, stable housing can transform someone’s life — especially for people facing mental health challenges or housing insecurity. When someone has a place to call home, everything else becomes possible.

As our Housing Team Manager, you’ll be at the heart of that mission. You’ll guide a dedicated team, champion person?centred support, and help create environments where people feel safe, respected and empowered to move forward.

If you’re someone who leads with compassion, thrives on connection, and wants your work to mean something, you’ll feel right at home here.

Why This Role Matters

Your leadership will shape the everyday experience of residents who rely on our housing services. You’ll make sure they’re supported not just with the practicalities of tenancy, but with the confidence, skills and stability they need to build a brighter future.

Some days you’ll be coaching staff through complex situations. Other days you’ll be reviewing KPIs, meeting commissioners, or helping a resident take a meaningful step towards independence. Every day, you’ll be part of someone’s recovery journey — and that’s powerful.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll:

Lead, inspire and support Housing Support Workers

Oversee tenancy processes from referrals to sustainment

Monitor key performance indicators that shape service quality

Build strong relationships with commissioners, partners and community organisations

Ensure residents receive person?centred, trauma?informed support

Champion resident involvement, making sure their voices shape our services

Maintain compliance with housing law, safeguarding and health & safety

Support audits, inspections and continuous improvement

Contribute to policy and service development

Deputise for the Housing & Income Manager when needed

This is a role where your leadership genuinely matters — to your team, to our partners, and most importantly, to the people we support.

You’ll be joining a team that genuinely cares — about the work, about each other, and about the people we support.

We’d Love to Hear From You If You Are…

Passionate about supporting people to live independently

Experienced in housing, tenancy sustainment or support services

Calm, adaptable and confident working with people with complex needs

A natural communicator who builds trust and positive relationships

Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
