Senior Software Engineer - DOE

Our client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help design, build and improve software for high‑precision technical platforms. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of meaningful software, influence architecture and support a small, talented engineering team.

You’ll get to:

• Build reliable, secure and maintainable software using C#/.NET and Python
• Develop applications that interact with complex hardware systems
• Contribute to architecture, tooling and engineering standards
• Mentor and guide other engineers through reviews and technical support
• Improve CI, testing, documentation and release processes
• Work closely with technical specialists to turn complex requirements into practical solutions

You could be a Senior Software Engineer
, Lead Software Engineer
, Control Software Engineer or experienced C# / Python Developer

Our client would love to hear from people with experience in:

• C#/.NET and/or Python development
• Production‑quality software engineering
• Hardware‑integrated, control, industrial, IoT or technical systems
• UI design and implementation
• Mentoring or supporting other engineers
• Secure coding, testing, CI and good development practices

Experience with Azure, networking, cybersecurity or early‑stage technical environments would be a bonus, but not essential.

• Salary of £65,000 – £70,000
