We serve a variety of sectors including electronics, aerospace, and industrial by leveraging our cutting‑edge technology to build businesses across diverse markets, each with unique requirements, timelines, customers, and cultures.

Alloyed is designing microturbine engines in a variety of sizes and specifications for jet propulsion applications. We use additive manufacturing to increase performance over the current state of the art by leveraging more complex designs enabled by AM and bespoke high‑temperature materials. Alongside the mechanical design work, we are building a software suite to consolidate off‑the‑shelf and internally developed engineering tooling into a single platform.

This platform will be used internally to quickly explore AM microturbine designs, improve performance, and rapidly scale to meet demand for new applications.

We are seeking a motivated software engineer to support building this platform. The role involves close collaboration with aerothermal designers to product ionise and generalise existing internal code, wrapping commercial simulation tools into C++/C# modules, and integrating the modules with automated workflows through a cloud compute infrastructure. You will be based primarily at our manufacturing site in Abingdon, collaborating closely with the mechanical engineering teams and reporting to the Head of Platform Development.

• Design, develop and maintain modules within Alloyed's design platform
• Integrate modules into a secure, cloud‑based compute platform
• Work within a young, fast‑paced, agile development team in collaboration with aerothermal and mechanical engineers and technicians
• Define and implement software solutions to automate existing manual workflows
• Work collaboratively to solve complex problems with innovative solutions

• Strong technical background with a degree in science, engineering or computer science (2:1 minimum)
• Proficient in the use of C# or C++ and Python
• Excellent understanding of software design patterns, best practices and principles
• Highly effective communicator who encourages innovation through collaboration
• Natural problem solver with a desire to learn
• Organised and self‑motivated, able to own and independently manage large projects

• Familiarity with:
  • Full stack development including Vue3, Typescript and Django
  • AWS EKS deployments
  • Machine learning model development
  • Agentic AI pipeline development
