Oxford, mainly remote (1-4 times a month)
The Role:We’re hiring a security-focused Java Engineer (Java) to support the modernisation of high-availability, cloud-native digital services operating at scale.
This role is centred around secure coding, scalable architecture, relational database design, and strong cross-team communication within a Dev Sec Ops environment.
What We’re Looking For:- Strong Java backend development
- Strong relational database experience (Postgres / Oracle + SQL optimisation)
- Solid understanding of secure coding and application security
- Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
- Strong communicator comfortable in cross-functional teams
- Experience in regulated or security-conscious environments (good grasp of OWASP)
