Senior AI Engineer | £700–£900/day | Outside IR35 | Oxfordshire

Built agentic AI systems that actually run in production?

Looking for a senior contract where you can take genuine technical ownership?

Senior AI Engineer to design, build and deploy complex AI systems from end to end.

Oxford / London – Hybrid

6-month initial contract, strong potential to extend

Immediate start

• Own AI systems from architecture through to production
• Build multi-agent and agentic workflows, not just integrate APIs
• Work with LLMs, VLMs, RAG, retrieval, memory and tool calling
• Engineer for reliability, latency, scale and failure handling
• Build large-scale multimodal search and retrieval pipelines
• Deploy across cloud, on-prem and offline environments
• Set technical direction and influence engineering standards

We’d love to speak with experienced engineers who bring strengths across areas such as:

• Strong Python and production software engineering
• Commercial experience with agentic AI / multi-agent systems
• Lang Graph, Lang Chain, Haystack or similar
• LLM/VLM integration and inference
• RAG, embeddings, indexing and large-scale retrieval
• Docker, Git and cloud platforms such as AWS
• Production AI/ML deployment and MLOps
• Strong technical ownership at Senior or Lead Engineer level

Experience with Kubernetes, MCP, A2A, multimodal AI, observability or offline deployments would be a bonus.

Security clearance: Applicants must be eligible for UK BPSS and SC clearance, including holding a UK passport and having 5 years’ continuous UK residency. Existing transferable SC or DV clearance is highly advantageous.
